Implementing the Talend ESB Service Bus in the IT Architecture of the Project

Client

A major retailer and one of the leading suppliers of pharmaceuticals and medical products.

Task

The client wanted to enter the retail market segment, but this required a significant number of integrations. The existing servers couldn't handle the increasing load, and there was a need to offload the website and make it more resilient.

Solution

To offload the website and streamline integrations, it was decided to implement the ESB service bus. At the beginning of the development, two platforms were considered—Talend ESB and Red Hat Fuse. Based on the client's requirements and objectives, Talend was chosen. With the help of Talend ESB, we managed to reduce the time required for integrating Pimcore and marketplaces with the website, "1C," and the RLS directory.

In addition, to expand the functionality and monitor the operation of Talend ESB, the following components were installed:

  • Apache Kafka message broker
  • Checkmk monitoring system
  • ELK logging system
